About us
The Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic, established in January 2002, is dedicated to the care and treatment of small animals. We all own and love our own animals, and aim to use our experience to care for your pets as we would our own.
We are proud to service our local community- typically caring for pets across Orewa, Silverdale, Millwater, Red Beach, Hatfields Beach, and Waiwera and adjoining rural areas.
- Surgery suite for soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgeries
- Rapid in-house blood and urine tests
- Diagnostic digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities
- Ability to offer advanced orthopaedic surgeries by a visiting surgeon, including TPLO and TTA for cruciate ligament injuries and patellar luxation corrections.
- Separate hospital rooms for dogs and cats
- Waiting areas designed so nervous pets don’t have to sit beside other pets
- Active air extraction for areas that may have bad smells
- Separate isolation ward for patients with infectious diseases
- Blood pressure testing using doppler flow detector
- Multiparameter vital signs monitoring equipment to help ensure patient safety throughout anaesthesia
- Dentistry equipment including x-ray, ultrasonic descaling and polishing
- Range of high-quality foods, including many therapeutic diets

Community Support
We had a busy March with two incredible events we were proud to support.
As a gold sponsor of the Orewa Beach Kindergarten Ducky Derby, we had an entrant in the corporate race, ran a fun children’s game (‘Hungry Duck’) and had giveaway packs and draws for pet owners. It was a very busy few hours, but it was worth it – the kindergarten report they had a record fundraising effort!
Partnered with K9FUNdamentals, we held a dog behaviour workshop titled ‘Sweet, Salty… & a Little Bit Psycho’. The attendees all had great things to say about the evening and took home lots of useful tips.
This was the first in a series of educational workshops for dog owners. We are passionate about supporting pet parents to give their fur-babies the best life. Our next workshop is detailed in this newsletter – keep an eye on our social pages and future newsletters so you don’t miss out!
